I came onto Findsomeone, quite honestly, to just chat to people. I was aware the possibility of meeting someone was there, but it wasn't my primary goal. I've met many great people off the site, and am still friends with most of them. Went on a few dates that really weren't my type...

and then...

I saw a very cute profile picture of a young man also living in ChCh and decided to send a smile. A day or so later 'ABeautifulLife' replied, that was March 2005. We talked for about three months, with him saying he was probably too shy to ever meet in person (once bitten...), and then, I convinced him one night by suggesting I tag along to an overnight road trip he and his friends were having THAT NIGHT! When they showed up to collect me - I knew his friend. Small world.

About a week later we officially started dating, and a year after that we moved in together.

We've been living together for six months now, and he's wonderful. Just last weekend for my birthday he took me on a surprise trip to Auckland to see the Circus - it was amazing.

Not all the success stories have to be rushed, love can happen slowly, across time, so don't be shy and think you're not ready.
