I had had enough of the bar scene and struck out with singles groups and other dating sites over the years. I had a FindSomeone account for a few years but decided to make more of an effort and upgrade the quality of my profile and also to purchase a gold membership.

I immediately started getting a really good response, and was fortunate enough to find myself having a fair amount of...ahem....choice??? when it came to dates. In Feb 2009 I got a smile from a young lady and we got talking. To cut a long story short (after I played hard to get for about 6 weeks) we became quite serious. We moved in together that December. We got engaged during a holiday in Thailand in Mid 2011...and in April 2012 we celebrated the birth of a beautiful little son.

The moral of this story is that you get out of the site what you put in, if you make an effort you will eventually find what you are looking for.
